Default Not even my wife wished me a Happy B-day on the I-net !

Thank you JR,

I guess I may be a tik older: but the good thing is that we are all growing older at the same rate. So I will learn what I can from the older crowd, you can learn what you can from the younger crowd and we will split the experiences through 3 generations. Party on Garth.

I learn something new everyday and I do not plan on changing that trend until I take my last breath.

So, whereas it seems that I will not likely participate in this week's coming Swordfishing tournament (that Drew and Tracey do such a great job at pulling together), I would like to request any pointers on a memorable trip to Bimini next weekend. I have never been to Bimini in the middle of November before: so I am sure that ther is something to be learned from someone that has already been there, done that, for a time or two.

Any tips would be appreciated. Wahoo is on the brain; and I would like to boat a 60# plus, plus all the other stuff.

RT

We're thinking abut trying to run over as well for Thanksgiving. Doubt we will pull it off but it would be an awesome trip.

Any tips would be appreciated here as well. And of course, wahoo would be a target species.

Happy Birthday RT! :drunken: \/

The most important thing to remember about going to the islands in November is that the weather is almost never going to cooperate with you on the days that you can go.

I think the worst thing it can do to you is really crap out for your return trip when you HAVE to go. I've gone across on a lake on many occasions and had to come back in 10 footers. No better feeling than looking UP at a wave and seeing a 15 ft hammerhead ABOVE you in a wave.

Default The winds of November..

Capt. Ollie:

Yeah man, I hear you loud and clear about the weather, probably one of the reasons November travels have not happened before.

Since we need to be back at work on Monday, we may likely need to push through some moderately foul weather if need be. (We'll see how tomorrow's forecast looks, for a go/no-go prediction.

The nice part about it is that we will be going in a 36' Cat.
