About 6 years ago we used a white Sea View light that draws a lot of amps. We had a lot of multiple fish nights. About 3 years ago switched to the hydro glow . I think we attract more bait now but thats it. Last Friday night the hydro glow burnt out. We caught a big dusky before that happened. T he only sword bite was with no light. I like it when dealing with the fish at the boat. I want to try to see everything going on.I dont think its necessary to catch fish. Another thought thou, how many more bites do you get on your tip rods vs. jug/balloon rods? Could it be because those baits are closer to the light? Capt. Ollie gave good info on this in his post. (thanks) it does give you something to think about.
