all my success has been on full moons with the shallow baits and lights close but we always pull up slashed baits down 300+ on the same nights

QQ: 35 ft. is the way to go!

I fished about 35 ft. during the SAIL Club tourney on the full moon and all my bites were deeper than 200....

Who knows.

Well we called it an early night, had one bait come up chewed, proabbly a cuda or shark. It was a good learning experience setting out the baits and doin the rigging. It was 15kts from the south so it was impossible to hold over the shelves as the wind was pushing out to deep water 1000M+.
I stil have hope, def gonna try it this weekend.
Like my little brother said, maybe the swords only party during the weekend.
