I fish with four. These are the best reels that I have ever fished with with the exception of the Accurate 80W 2 speed that I have. The Accurate is a bit smoother with twin drag. Those Italians are sure giving the Jap's a run.

They are excellent reels. I have the 20 Albacore and it is an amazing reel for kite fishing/trolling. The only problem I have had with it was that the handle fell off, but this happened a bunch of times to other people too. The problem is in the older model and Alutecnos fixed it for me for free. Other than that I've heard of one drag problem and thats it (they fixed that too). I'm hoping to be picking up the 50W two-speed pretty soon. Atleast by Christmas. They have a smooth drag and they reel even smoother. The 80W is basically a 130, it's huge!!

Thank you everyone for your input. Right now I'm fishing Penn 50s and each time I put out my baits I feel like I'm tempting fate. Sooner or later that really big fish is going to eat and I want to be ready. Debated the Penn 130 because of the recent price drop, the Penn 80, the Shimano, and the Alutecnos. I've heard about problems with the newer Penns (I've also heard good things too). I've seen a 65'' sword caught on the Shimano 80 Tiagra and was impressed with the reel but have heard good/bad things (seems to be the case with every reel). That said, I would like the extra line capacity the Alutecnos has and each time I pick one up, it just feels very smooth and well machined. I've never heard anything negative about them and came away very impressed after talking with Mason at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show.
