Default Ft. Lauderdale Friday Night Open Boat Swordfishing Trip

New to Ft. Lauderdale is an 85' Gulfstream Party fishing boat hosting a Friday night open boat swordfishing trip. Every Friday night from 6PM-2AM. The boat is the Catch My Drift, Fishing Headquarter's largest and most comfortable party boat. We take between 10 and 15 people on this trip. The price is $100 per person and $15 if you need to rent a heavy tackle rod(we rent Penn Internationals). We've been running this trip now for about 2 months, every Friday night and the success has been great. We've been catching multiple swordfish on our last 6 trips and some really big ones too. Obviously if we have 10 people not everyone is going to catch a swordfish but we divide the meat up between everyone on the boat so everyone goes home with some nice steaks. Check out our website at http://www.fishheadquarters.com/ to see our pictures of our recent catches. This is a helluva lot cheaper than paying for the fuel on your own boat. Try it out one Friday night, I'm sure your gonna love it. The boat is huge, the largest party boat in Ft. Lauderdale and the fastest at over 20 knots to get you out there in a hurry. She's fully air conditioned and very comfortable. Call for information or to make a reservation at (954)525-4665.

Default What are the limits?

Just for my info are you operating under a standard migratory
species permit or is there a permit for head boats allowing
a different limit? We had a boat in Marathon for the last 2
winters who tried running trips but he did not get enough interest.
It was the K-2 out of St aug.

Actually the Catch My Drift is the old K-2 out of St. Augustine. I think he used to run trips in the keys in the off season. We refitted the boat, put in some nice touches like Air Conditioning and faster engines(shes 20 knots + right now). We're working on getting a bigger license but still operating on the regular charterboat/headboat license for swords. Its been a great trip for the last 6 Fridays we've been running it. We've already got a nice crowd of regulars that love the trip so we may start doing it twice a week for those that can't go on Friday. But for at least the next couple weeks we'll be just doing it on Fridays 6-2. Try a trip out there, I'm sure you'll like it alot. Its the only show in town that does an open boat trip for swordfishing. Every other charter boat you have to pay like $1000 for a trip like that so it really is a deal at only $100 per person. I wish I could figure out how to add pictures to this site, i click the picture thing and I get this "[img]"? Anyway, if you want to see the pictures from our past couple weeks, check out the website. I update it pretty regularly. www.fishheadquarters.com

Definately cheaper than buying your own boat. I wish I had known about that swordfish boat when I did not have a boat!
