Default key largo swordfishing

hello all i tried the other side of this forum with no response. hopefully somebody here can help me. i bought a swordfish chart & have been studying it before i make my first attempt at swordfishing.on the chart i notice that all the good bottom structure is either south of key largo or north of key largo (either islamorada, marathon or miami) is this correct. has anybody out there caught any off of key largo. any suggestions or help would be appreciated thanks. eddie

hey eddie. Yes, myself and others have fished off key largo many times for swords.

I have never caught anything to big, but several in the 80-100 pound range.

They are out there...

I fish out of Ocean Reef every weekend. Have'nt been out on a sword'n trip for about a month or so but the last two we caught were in about 1400 feet off of Pacific. We have'nt found a stud off there yet but the 80-100 lb range is true for us as well.
