why can't we as concerned Floridians ban long line gear from crossing state waters? i think this would be a great tool to protect us and the fish from unattended, indiscriminate gear and the people that use it.
i would grant them crossing state water if they declared a emergency, but would forbid them from unloading their fish. so is their a lawyer in the house

Dang...that's kinda harsh.
It's like giving them the Rodney King treatment. By the way don't even think of taking my guns away

wow over 200 views and 1 reply
and i think it would be harsh to let PLL back in the fl straights with out doing everything in our power to prevent it. by not allowing them to travel through state waters we take nmfs out of the equation, when nmfs tries to shrink the closed zone the PLL will have to come from Georgia to set gear. it would also help the grouper stocks on the west coast and NF i don't want your guns
