Default Shark ID

Caught on the 50 line while swording on a 250 ft. live runner.

Presumed to be a Dusky.

Thanks!

I really think it is is a "silky shark" but us locals call it the cuban night shark...

If you can identifiy half the shark species, you are a genius

My philosphy: Who cares?
It's a shark, and not a good one - I say - night shark.

If you wanna get technical, the snout sort of looks like a silky.

Chris, the picture doesn't do him justice. We all estimated that he was pushing 8 ft. He was easily over 100 pounds by his sheer size and weight I felt when leadering him. I thought you said the Cubano nightsharks don't get this big?

Night sharks max out at 280cm about 9 ft.

Yeah, you've been swording 2000x more than I and I hold the record for Cuban Night Shark by landing one twice as big as your biggest.

Took an HOUR with 20 lbs. drag on a TLD 50.
