Default Jupiter Sword

I was curious, does anyone fish out of the Jupiter Inlet. It seems pretty close to the Gulfstream and I wondered if there was any action there for swords or is in just one area.

call Grand Slam Tackle. They just had a tournament out of Jupiter and they will get you in touch with the locals that fish there.

Heres are report from the north drift 9/8

weather looked fishable for friday night so we loaded everything up and at around 6:30 we were coming through SLI. After making the run out, we had our 4 lines in by 8:00. very slow for a a couple hours without out any hookups or hits and at 10:15 we were all wondering if we were ever gonna see any action when i noticed the 200' rod was bent over a little too much. I grabbed the rod and felt weight but it wasnt running or even moving at all. we figured it was just a small fish and chris fought it for a while and then handed the rod off to me. i cranked him in close enough to get the light off which is about when he went nuts. i was fighting him off the starboard side of the boat when he made a strong run and we all heard a huge splash and looked behind us to see him jumping and shaking his head. after getting the line around the back of the boat and clear of the motors i was back on him. Jim had the best look at the fish while it was jumping and said it was somewhere in the 50" range. well....an hour later this "50 inch" fish was kicking our butts and had about 125 yards of line out. i tightened the drag down more and started really tiring him out. eventually he gave in and came up and what we saw was a little more than a 50" inch swordie. harpoon went in (his pec fin ) and we drug him through the door. measured out at 65" and our biggest sword so far. stuffed him in the box and headed in...reported him this morning after cleaning him.
