Default I'm back

I've been out of town for a couple of weeks; lots of good reading on
Swordfishingcentral to catch up on. After seeing the success of the
SE FS forum swordfish 101 "meetings" at Tim's house, I would like
to offer my Hollywood home for a night of talking with the experts.
Everyone should bring something to share; the experts will bring
the knowledge, the rest of us can bring some food, drink, cigars,
etc to share. I would love to see a demonstration of attaching
mono to jerry brown hollow core by a few folks. What do you all
think?? What night would be best? cheers, arthur

I wouldn't mind getting a look at your Red Neck buddys wind-on leader tester He made. You know the one where He ties the wind-on up in a tree with a concrete block tied to the other end swinging for a week, Then on week 2 you go to 2 concrete blocks an so on.
This sounds like Ga. Nology at its best, I heard He may even try a transmission from a mustang GT next. of course with a 300lb wind on.

Hey, attaching monofilament to Jerry Brown HC: I can do that, knotless. Or attaching JBHC to JBHC or making a knotless connection to terminal gear or a spliced double line: I can do those too. Maybe I only need to bring a my wind-on building box and a good appetite. I loved that full cooler comment about the ice and beverages. I suppose last time catching brought his empty cooler. :roflmao: Although it is not a bad idea to have an empy cooler in the vehicle.

Can't say that I can recommend a day because times are very busy between here and October 5. Besides we all need to do our part, with thinking caps on: Try to answer this question: What would you recommend to NMFS if they were requesting your input, on how to increase the swordfish catch in U. S. Fisheries. You do not have to answer the question directly. But if you deflect the question be able to show a plan and try to make it consistent". September 27 is booked.

Arthur, that sounds almost like a learning excuse for another party. Professor, Oh should be bring our pencils and notebooks? Or will cups and lighters do just fine.

RT,

Last party I brought a couple cases of beer, and just about everyone else brought their favorite beverages as well, and there was not enough room for everything so I figured I will bring my own cooler so that there would be enough cooler space to keep all those beverages cold in the summer heat I am figuring the more cold beverages being consumed I might learn more than I did the last time with all the fishermen, and researchers that were there can not wait to hear when this will be so I can meet more of you guys.

I do not have much to offer when it comes to splicing lines, but I do have some sweet looking rigs I can bring with me.

Gotcha Catching:

People like to borrow my big cooler too. So they can keep all the provisiones icy cold.

Good job with the provisions. Got frosted mugs?

See you at the party, hah hum, I mean learning workshop. Yeah yeah, that's the ticket.

Have a big 7 day cooler, only problem is if I put too much ice in it it re-freezes into solid blocks for the first day, So I think I will put a more beverage to ice mixture for the class on how to splice line
