Great info everyone. I like the idea of a 200# JB top shot for moving big fish. Looks like I need to give Tek a call :thumright:

I went and saw tek 2 nights ago, he set me up right! 130 jb to a wind on. He is very good at what he does and stears you in the right direction. He has all the gear you need! I picked up a jap ball and some other stuff. And can't wait till the bite starts picking up again!!

Just wanted to thank everybody for the thoughtful responses. Looks like I'm going with the 130JB with a top shot to be determined. Tek's going to take care of it.... Now I just have to reinforce some rod holders and go fishing. Hope I get a chance to give em a workout.

good choice all around, sorry for using the last bit of 130 Tek had! I'm sure he will have some in a few days!

What Lb top shot? I would imagine 100 yards?

I should have a funky fresh batch of 40,000 yards coming this week. Just in time for the new line winder....

Nice! Now you just need to open up a....

Can you apply pressure to the spool without using a glove on that unit?

I'm working on it....

There are two versions.. one with a braking system that will apply pressure and one that doesn't. The one that doesn't will need you to apply pressure to the side of the spool.
