Default Do you think this fish made 200lb club

Every now and again we catch a fish we really wish we could have weighed !!

We boated a fish about 2 weeks ago that was 72" w approx 45# girth.
I have heard formulas that put the fish at 190, and others at 205.

The guys on the boat guessed about 185, but wondering whether you all think this fish may have been fat enough to make 200?

Thanks in advance.

The first picture does not do the fish justice, makes it look small. It is always hard from a picture but I would say just shy of 200, I think 185 is fair.

No matter how big it is still a nice fish.

I'd say the 185 estimate was a good one.

Nice fish guys

Nice fish guys
Nothing wrong w 185, but 200 is a psychological victory.

Fish was virtually identical to the 200lb fish Greg got in the Miami Swordfish. (his was 71.5 w 45 inch girth & thick to the tail.)

Our fish was 72 & stout down to tail as well.

Hope you can make it Friday Turtle !!

15lbs is hard to tell indeed.

Then I would think she would be on the high end of the formula, cuz she isn't skinny like a migrating fish, AND, she had a full belly.
