Default Heading out 9/8 questions on N.E. Wind and Full Moon

Hey guys, still a virgin. I have some friends that have been dying to go so tonight's the night. I have been 1x and 0-1. I have heard you need to fish deeper on the full moon and also heard any wind out of the east is not favorable. Any truth to this? Any other advise would be appreciated. Going out of Stuart and fishing the V-Spot. Thanks! Rob

You can't catch them from home, I've caught them every month of the year on every wind. I have also had 3-4 fish nights on full moons, all on the 100' bait as well.

The theory is that swords will run deeper during bright nights. But that's not always the case. Best bet is to send out a full spread, covering shallow and deep depths. If ya get hits deep, adjust your shallow baits deeper, or vice-versa.

If you are a Virgin, the "V" spot is what to look for. irat:

I don't like the full moon, history for me, shows very few bites. On the other hand, the few fish I have gotten on a full moon were all large fish.

On a full moon I tend to run my baits from 100' to 400' as a starting point unless I mark a thermocline and then concentrate more on that depth.
