I'm heading out tonight to do some more testing on artificials to include a new test bait. Don't ask, cuz then I will hafta kill ya! I will be fishing south of the Miami grounds. If you are out there and want to give me a shout I will be scanning the radio.

Leave the squid in the freezer Jr.
Seas were all frigged up. Bumpy seas, an easy current, and wind blowing 15 to shore. CRAP! After midnite the seas laid back, OK, and the wind slowed a bit, OK, and the current went to nothing, CRAP, .2 mph to the north, that's right 2/10's of a mph. We were basically sitting still. It sucked to say the least. No bumps, no nothing. Only good thing was we left early and butterfly'd a wreck. 12 drops caught 8 fish. Stay home and save the fuel JR. Capt. Jim The BEAST |

Nick C,
You are right about the life. We were in 1150' of water and had some flyers, houndfish, and ballyhoo swim into the light. Then we had a small random school of 2" fish and then another "ball" of these fish about 2' wide joined the others in the light. For the next 2 hours we watched as a school of Goggle Eyes rose into the light and systematically picked off every one of those little guys. It was the only exitement to our night. I'd never have thunk it! Goggle Eyes and Ballyhoo in 1150' of water. Even when the fishing blows I learn something on every trip. Capt. Jim The BEAST |
