Default Update from Marsh Harbour

Hey everyone, just thought I'd say hello from over here at Marsh Harbour. I've been here for about a week now. While my Dad was here we took the boat out and fished for 3 days. We caught 3 nice mahi the first day and 9 yellowfin tuna the 3rd day, but we had to run 45 miles offshore to find them. We looked for billfish everyday without any success. The HMY Billfish Blast is going on over here right now. Im staying on the boat by myself working for a good friend of ours who is a captain on a Viking over here. Working for him for the next week or so fishing and hanging out.

Anyways, just thought i'd check in and share so pictures. Its pretty awesome over here

View from the plane on the trip over

View from the dock

First fish of the trip

Nice bull, 3rd fish of the day

Storm approaching the dock on day 2

Mahi jumpin off the rod tip

We found this boy under a burlap bag 45 miles offshore the day we caught all the tuna

Nice Yellowfin-- the radar pays off. Had to run 45 miles before we found birds.

Not huge, but fun to catch and lots of sushi

BTW - Can't see the photos any more.

Reel life - All this Island talk is making me think of Rum based libations. Now I've got a craving for a Miss Blue Bees Run Punch and it is all your fault too.

Glad to see someone found the yellowfins. We fished 4 days from the Mushroom to Tiloo. Mahi were nice, but when you're fishing for BMs ... whatever. Robbie Moore on the FaLaMe told me of a tuna bite out 40 miles, but we couldn't find them. We did manage a 52# mahi, and my 8 and 9 year old boys hammered the Muttons from the dock each night. Heard the BM bite in Cat Island sucked there as well this year.
Our boat is staying at the Conch if you get over that way. WARRIOR. The boat will be there until July. Any good fishing reports would be great.

Great Job. What did they eat? Did you get them on the outgoing tide? nearshore or offshore...I'm home trying to upgrade my little boat to a 31 Contender, and I am dying to get back. 3 days before the full!!! When I left, I heard of a yellowfin bite off of spanish, have any shown up out there? Our boat is still in Marsh...till Mid July.
The bite from Lucaya is dead. White sands is holding good dolphin, and Canaveral is producing good YFTs. see Ticketfishing.com.
Get some more...I want to see those pictures

No yft in Bimini either, I heard of a few caught south of Cat Cay and north of Issacs.
