Default Jellies

I am going to show my age / ignorance now,
What does takin on the jellies mean?
Do I want to take them on?
Should I take them on?

If I take them on will my boat run better?

Default CONO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Means...

Steve:

Have a seat, and relax. Can I offer you a Mojito and a Cigar. No. Coņo. What does that mean? Pretend you are a Cuban, living in the USA, for just a moment. Our entire culture is comprised from various immigrent groups: It just so happens South Florida is mostly comprised mostly of Carribean/S.A. immigrents (or from NY and/or Israel), sorry not to mention very much about the first settlers. The word Coņo is a spanish word from Cuban roots, maybe further back to Spain even. But I suspect Western Hemisphere culture, Coņo. Basically, it means Shit, by English equivalence. But then again, in Spanish culture, you can kick it up a notch, or make it mundane, all by the emphasis you play on the word. You could have two entirely different meanings by someone yelling Coņo, or saying it softly as, Coņo, or simply ņo. In Miami, you might even hear the gentle, Ņo, which is different that the, No, which , by the way means, No in english. Ņo.

I really doubt if Disco Lady will make you understand, due to the limited vocabulary that she has expressed, to date. Maybe, she will surprise you, too. :?: I can't wait until she starts using the terms Carajo and Puņeta: such fine language from a Lady.

CONO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very well said RT, but in my terms it is a spanish thing that I can't get rid of. My wife says that I have a bad vocabulary, but I can't help it. She gets a dollar every time that I say Cono!! soon she will be rich!!  Its stands for dam or Wow. I say it when I catch a nice fish. Just like addictive fishing says MOGAN!.

and RT, you can definatly offer me a cigar... I prefer a Cohiba Churchill.. Cubans are best, but a nice dominican will do.

Default Opps, I just did an Island jump

SF123:

I can only offer you a cigar if you invite me to go fishing on your boat.

You must understand that I am a hopeless boat jumper, until further notice. I will always try to offer all the skills and equipment at my disposal to make the next fishing trip a good one. You may realize that my primary nautical conveyance is a 31' Sloop which is not very conducive to getting anywhere very fast, including the swordfishing grounds within a 12 hour window. So I always need a little help from my friends in the boat dept.

SF123- I can make some Killer Mojitos, but the only cigars that I can offer you are Dominicans. Will Opus X - Lancero suffice? Actually I do have one Cuban Cohiba left that my friend brought over. So if you prefer that, sure no problem.

The only thing worse than a boat jumper, is an Island Jumper. Sorry it is just in my blood now. After so many Columbus Day regattas, if you are afraid to boat jump, you are missing half of the flavor. Just so long as someone in charge of the vessel stays aboard and you can still manage to find your vessel in pitch darkness. Either reflective tape on the hull or the smell of fresh sqeezed lemon drops can lead you back

Next time Retreat is in the states its a deal. She is now making home at Boat Harbour for marlin season. I will staying on it and working on the 48' Viking, Wolverine for the BBC during the may and june when i get out of school. I think once July rolls around she will come back to lauderdale.

Maybe in a couple years when i graduate you'll be in the market for a Jarrett Bay Custom and I find one for ya. I hope to be working for a sportfish brokerage living in fl. when i graduate.
