I caught my first swordie about 4 weeks ago and I am trying to preserve the bill. I know some people use like a polyurathane but I am doing it the old fashioned way. Letting it dry out and sanding it till it is smooth then filling the inside with candle wax. It is real time consuming. If there is an easier way please let me know

Tie fishing line to it, throw it in a salt water canal for week if it is fresh, since its 4 weeks old and I bet stinkin, I would let it soak at least 2 weeks.
take it out blast it with a water hose and then dry it. |
