Default Swordfishing Trip!!

I went last week Wednesday and i went 0/2 with some type of fish. It pulled down extremely hard and what is wierd is that out of 4 squid rigged lines...whatever it was that took our bait twice hit a rigged ballyhoo that my buddy through out freelining.... I only saw a glimpse of one of them before our line snapped...that rod wasn't equipped to handle that big a fish... I was actually betting with him wether something would hit that rig or not.,...I lost...What else could it have been?

The line snapped ... My buddy had 40lbs test....I saw a big silvery shadow, but too quick to tell what it was... right after it saw the boat it snapped on its next pull down.... Are swords likely to take a rigged ballyhoo??

Yep. Think of swordfish like catfish with long pointy noses. It would take pages to list all the things I've found in their stomachs over the years. Hell, Beerman had one in the FK tourny last year that had a banana peel in it's stomach.

I have made the claim that one day, I'll catch one on a piece of salami. It WILL happen.
