Default Fri Night No Problem

On Fri I was able to fish with Captain Nick on his boat NO PROBLEM.While I have known Nick for over 20yrs since we were little kids I have not fished with him for a very long time. My dad was the capt of his dads boat the famous CELIA P out of Montauk and Palm beach. Capt Nick has fished with a learned from some of the best captains and fisherman that there ever was and has himself become one of the best fisherman you could fish with. We fished the north drift with his mate Rusty and his old friends Hunter and Mike. We all had a very good time and went 2 for 2 on swords a pup and a small fish about 50in. We popped Mikes cherry on swords and when the second fish hit he was first to the rod again. {Keep that ____ tight} I was very impressed with the the boat. It is a 36ft walkaround Glass tech with diesels. It ran out there like a champ in that slop we had on Friday night. Any one looking for a charter should book a trip with Capt Nick soon because he is getting booked up quickly. He is also getting ready to go to Cat for the Tuna season and has a limited number of spots open for that. Tuna fishing in Cat is one of the most incredible fishing trips you can make. Watching 50 500lb+ tuna swimming in 30ft of clear water is worth the trip on its own. Hooking and catching one of these migrating giants is one of most exciting things that you could ever do. Thanks again for the trip Nick. http://www.fishnoproblem.com/

Are talking about Cat Island for yellow fin and big eye, or Cat Cay for Blue fin?

Good memory  It was on the Deep sea club dock. I am from Montauk. My dad ran the Celia P for awhile. Have you spent much time up north?

QQ,
I was doing an extream dive off the Cat Cay wall in 1994 and while doing my second decompression stop at 40ft in "Tuna Ally" a school of Blue Fin tuna surounded me and my dive buddy. Talk about feeling smal
They looked to be the size of SUV's. About 10-15 of them in the school. They circled for a min. then continued on their way.

Called my buddy he said only about 10-15 of them, I originally said more.

They turned around when I squeeled in my regulator to get their attension.
I thought I had made a big mistake when they truned around.
We also had some speared fish on us, which may have atracted them.

QQ,
We need to go have a beer together. Bet we have some friends in common. Yes, I do know the boats you are talking about. Fished on Tenderfoot, Electric Fisherman, Rio III, Braveheart (yacht club guys)

I mated on the Honeybun, Bluewater, worked our own boat.
Also worked many years on the commercial docks- Inlet Seafood.
Worked three years with "Mac the diesel mechanic" from Montauk Marine.

Drank lots of beer at the Tipperary, ate at the Dock.

Hated to leave that place

I will go down & introduce myself to Nick on the No Problem next time I am at Riviera Beach Marina.

DS,
you fished with DR. LOUUUUUUUUUU. Remember when that big mako tried to eat the Honeybun and left some teeth in the transom. The old Celia P is tied up at Rivera bch as well.
