Default Role call Friday 2/3

I'm going to take a shot at it tonight. The front won't be here until Sat. afternoon. I'll be on 72. Good luck to all. Stay safe and don't forget to report your catch. We are the only ones to loose if we don't.

I was kite fishing yesterday, they said two to four, it was four to six, with more than an occasional 7 footer. Has anyone been out today? If it is really two to three, I would think about going, but I doubt it will be. Noaa is very inaccurate during the winter

Be careful man... I heard the front is speeding up a little, and will be here a bit sooner. But it ain't the front you gotta worry about. It's the storms it's pushing ahead of it. If you do go out tonight, good luck and be safe. :salut:

Front came through here about an hour ago.
Wind picked up and temp dropped about 10 degrees.
Now getting a lot of lightning.
Check out NOAA
Tornado warnings are also up.
I'd stay on land

We went out and found that the ride out was bumpy but manageable. It laid down nice as we were setting up. The tinkers were thick so we put one down on the 75. It got wacked before we could get the tip down. The 300 got billed when I was bringing it up. I thought we were going to have a double header with just the two of us fishing. That one pulled quickly but the other was a 63" pumpkin.
We re-set and got a few baits slashed. A free swimmer came right under the boat. Fishing was looking good but we noticed some flashes over shore so we packed up and ran at 9:15. That turned out to be a good call.

Default Love those Tinkers

Breakway:

Sounds like you still had a wonderful night of fishing. A 63 inch fish in the boat is certainly a good night to be out fishing. Done by 9:15, is a bonus.

Was that last night's report: Saturday or a delayed Friday. It was chilly last night but on Friday night we saw the lightning coming closer and closer to the house around 11 p.m. It was pretty intense as each flash got closer and closer.

We saw some swordfish last night too: on the BBQ griddle and on my plate. Plain and simple recipe: a Sprinkling of Chef Paul's Blackened Redfish Magic and some olive oil. A little more salt to taste if you like.
