We'll be on the water but watching firworks with family and friends. When you land another slob, call it out we'll be monitering 72. (and wishing we were out there)

We went 1 for 1 early this July 4th (1 AM). 58" fish on squid at 400'. Had two other bites but no hookups.

I need the formula for estimating weight. Girth was 35".
Good luck to all.

We went 1 for 2 and a shark bite. Didn't have a hit until about 12:30 on a live bait, never had a good hookset and hooks pulled.

at 1:30 or so the only squid we had out there got hit. We saw the balloon flip and reeled like hell. Boated a 110lb fish weighed at lighthouse point marina. The patented Sword Slayer harpoon by Swordslasher worked awesome! When I fish a squid I use long leaders so the harpoon worked out great since it extends.

Full report in the afternoon.

Way to go Reelintubaiter and Mike. Sounds like a good late bite. Look forward to the full report. By the way, were either of you on Hannaman's spot?

Thanks for the formula. We fish off Miami. I think most of you guys fish much further north. Good job Mike.

Vinnie went 2 for 2 and called it an early night after his buddy needed help with a 285lb fish. Pictures to come?

I went out last night on No Regulation. We went 2-2. One bite early and the other at moonrise. At 11 my friend Carl calls me on the radio and says that he just got out there with his girlfriend and was letting out the first line. Five minutes after that Carl calls me and says that he has a fish on, it ate the first line in the water. Ten minutes after that Carl calls me and says that he just hit the fish with the harpoon and he might need help getting it in the boat and that he wanted me to stand by. Five minutes later Carl says that he definitely needs me to come over cause he wasn't about to get this fish in the boat by himself. I was only 4 miles away and the No Regulation boys agreed to take me over to help him out. So after getting his fish in the boat we all went back to the marina. Once we got to the Marina I had to call the 'little' brother to help Carl and I get the fish on the dock. Carls fish went 293lbs, he got it to the boat in less then 10 minutes and put a tail rope on the fish by himself.

293 in 10 minutes.. Very impressive that he was able to do all that by himself. That fish could of easily gone the distance.

Vin, your fish look nice too. irat:
