I am in the same boat with Risk Taker...started collecting Penn Int'ls back when they were the apex. I managed to get pretty much the cross section over the years:

1x 900 series baitcaster
4x 6500 spinners
3x 30 intl
2x 50 intl
1x 50w intl
1x 80 intl
Fathommaster Downrigger
pair of 49's for teasers
2x senators (forget which) still filled with monel for wirelining

All the int'l (30's and up except for the 80) are on Penn int'l sticks as well.

They all still work fine, although carry a lot of battle scars. Gotta get a little more ROI before considering switching teams.

2 Tiagra 80W's
5 Tiagra 50WLRS's
5 Tiagra 30WLRS's
1 Penn 16VSX
2 Avet EX 4/0's
1 Avet HX
1 Avet LX
2 Avet MXL's
1 accurate ATD 6
1 accurate Boss 870
1 Daiwa Tanacom Bull
1 Stella FA 8000
1 Penn 650 spinner

I think thats all but I might have forgot a few. Every reel is 2 speed except for the electric and the spinners, and if they made them in 2 speed they all would. I guess that I could be classified in the tackle ho division.....

Dang, some people are putting up a tackle store's worth of reels.

I also have every reel imaginable much to my wife's chagrin.

I would have to say my favorite and most reliable reels are 1) Shimano, 2) accurate, 3) Penn and 4) Duel in that order but very closely packed. I love my Tiagra 50W and 50, my Penn 70VS, my accurate Boss 656, and my Duel Speedy 16. While I like Avets, I have had some hardware problems with them requiring me to ship them back for repairs.

We are blessed today to have so many options. I grew up deep jigging in the early 70s and we only had Penns and Ambassadors (5,000s, 7,000s and 10,000s) and still managed.

High tides.
