Default Swordfishing off Sebastian???

Heading up to Sebastian in a couple weeks with boat in tow. Was wondering if anyone has any swordfishing tips on the area or if it's generally the same as Miami.......Any help would be great!!!

No suggestion on where off Sebastian, but would like a report from that area. Good luck.

I have some family in the ft myers area, and we know one local that does alot of shark and sword fishing. I'll have to get in touch wiht him somehow, but last time I talked to him was last october and he said he was getting the swords pretty good.

Good luck.

I've heard of a few guys that have gotten them up here but I think there are more out of Ft. Pierce. There are several guys fishing there that are apparently getting shots most nights, but they keep real quiet. I think it's called White's Tackle in Ft. Pierce that seems to be the center of info. I'm still getting comfortable with my boat but am planning on swording out of Sebastian in the near future. If anybody form this area is interested in buddying out until we figure it out I'd be game.

It certainly won't look like South Florida with a million lights and gillis setting up right on top of you left and right. It could get scary out there all alone

Do you think you could get any more info out of Cy, like how deep and a general area?

We fish out of Sebastian Inlet, we'll normaly run to about FT.Pierce then make our set in 1500 to 1100ft of water. We fished the last new moon, very slooow had one slashed squid no hookup it was the 200 ft bait in 1200 ft. Jeff at White's tackle shop (772-461-6909) is the man for info and gear for this area he's very active in the swordfishing scene
