Default NMFS Highly Migratory Species Meeting Oct 3rd,2005

The meeting in Fort Pierce wasn't well publicized in advance, so I thought that I would post a reminder.

The meeting will be held on October 3, 2005 from 6:30-9:00pm at the following address:

African American Arts and Cultural Center
Research Library
2650 Sistrunk Blvd.
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311

ken i think they came up with a new location

make sure we let them know we do not want any free floating gear out there

Its a shame with how many people showed up. 40 people at most and for everyone that is on this forum to only get that many people is pathetic

DSide, that's very disappointing news. If we lose this fishery some day there will be hundreds crying over it. This was a missed opportunity to really show NMFS how strong the rec sector is in swordfishing. I thought you guys would really pack the house down there in the hotbed of the fishery. What kind of commercial interest was there on the beeper fishery?
