In Kingsbury, we have a chart that covers from Ocean Greif (reef), to north of PE. $17.95, its work great for me.

SFL, I'm not an expert by any means but we're 1 for 6 on our first two Sword trips. I recomend a chart put out by "Homeport Charts". It's chart #35 (Swordfish chart) which is from Port Everglades to Key Largo. It has accurate GPS numbers to the Sword grounds. We've been starting our drifts near the "Three Lumps". I know the Complete Angler on Bird Rd. sells them ( I think also Crook and Crook). Talk with Nelson at Complete angler. He's a nice guy and has been very helpfull to me. I bought my Harpoon, LP lights, lightsticks, Squid, Hooks , etc. Good luck, Al.

Ill try that chart thanks for the info.We fished the lumps as well.We didnt have as much luck only one real solid hook up our first trip last week.Friday a couple of slashed baits around 300' had what looked to be a close to 10 pound triple tail in our light as well as a giant squid. That was it fished till 3 and called it.Im not sure if it got any better when the moon rose around the time we left.

You should have stayed, the bite usually turns on as the moon crests and starts to rise. I agree Homeport chart # 35, great for locating structure to fish in out area

Where u out last Friday Scott?Where do u fish? There were alot of other boats in the area we were fishing most of them were much deeper. The drifts took us along the 52 line.I've noticed that the swordfishing up in Broward is done in alot deeper water like the 50 and 49.What do u think?
We tried to get out last nite Wed.but the weather didnt let us.We are going to try again next week. The weather man really blew the forcast last nite.We waited at Fowey lite till dark and made the call not to get beat up.

Haven't been out in a week. I was suppose to go out last night with Team Tiara, but I am now on baby watch 2 weeks early . I couldn't think of a better reason not to fish, but the wait is killing me.

I found that it doesn't really matter if you fish South or North as long as you fish 2 key things; structure and water temperature.
