Default swording in west end

We tried swording in west end with the hope that the big boys migrated up there. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to find out. We set up a drift in 1400' and after an hour we checked the baits and were shocked to find every bait but one was cut off about two feet from the bait. The one squid that was not cut off had a shark bite with a ten inch diameter. The strange thing was that the drags were very light but not one rod made a sound :?:
Has this happened to anyone else?

After losing about 100$ of equipment in an hour we decided to bottom fish instead. Were looking forward to getting back to our home grounds. It seems like the bite has slowed besides slasher and 2ndchances doubleheader (great job guys). We might try it on Wednesday.

PS for those of you that have gas engines dont fill up at shell we did and it broke our flowscan because of the sulfur.

That has happened to me a few times, reeled them in to find no hooks on the end of my leaders without the drags pulling, always with live bait.

Hey Team Bullfighter,

Welcome Back from West End, I hope you had lots of cold ones while fighting all those fish. I'm glad you tried swording over there, sorry that all the rigs got chomped on by Jaws. I'll speak to you soon.
