Anyone fishing the darkside this weekend? forecast is 10-15 knots in the gulf stream and i have guys bailin' out. chanel 72 tomorrow night!

I wouldnt go unless you have a 72 footer. I was just out there fishing within 3 miles of shore and it was getting shittier by the minute. The gulf stream looked like a herd of elephants stampeding.

It's not always what's happening at this minute right here that dictates sea conditions. The Mid-Atlantic states just got hammered by a tropical storm that sends NE swells all the way down here. It will take a week for them to subside. If you add some wind from the North on top of the swells and then the gulfstream pushing into that crap you have one sloppy mess as you get off shore. Like richard said - he was 3 miles from shore and the stream looked like a herd of elephants. Stay home until the weather abates. Harry

harry, we fished offshore yesterday and you know me, and there is no chance you are going to fish that mess, Drew made a good choice moving the tourny till next week. It was big inshore and triple that the further out you got.
