Default Lindenkohl Sword -- 9/4-5/09

Fished the Lindenkohl Canyon on Friday night and had a nice sword around 11:45pm.

Slow fishing overall but this fish early in the night made up for it:

don't know what the weight was. I gutted it and slimed it out there.

A guy who has seen his share of swords on the grand banks thought it was 220 dressed. He's usually pretty accurate on weights.

I thought in the neighborhood of 250-270 round.

We caught it on a Gamakatsu live bait heavy duty hook (6/0) on 80lb. flouro.

the fish passed up our 4 sword baits and took the small live squid meant for tuna 60 feet down.

45 minutes before it met the harpoon dart.

Congrats on the Northern Sword. It just goes to show how far these fish spread out. They get them from Texas to Mass.
