Question Looking for Charter in cabo

Hi guys

I'm looking for Fishing charter in Cabo San Lucas, i will be in Cabo between December 19th and 26 th

It's first saltwater fishing trip in my life (i'm Canadian freshwater muskellunge angler), i will go fishing with my little family (wife and 2 daughters) .
We are not rich $$$, and I would like to pay around 500 max for the day. I found many charter in this price range on 28 feet boats is it enough ?

Could you advise me for a good charter with guaranteed fishes

I target Big-game fishes, dolphins and rooster-fish for catch and release

waiting for your many consultings

all the best

I can give you two referrals for Cabo. Baja Raiders runs a 31 Bertram for about 450 a day- That will hold 4 or 5 people and you might be able to negotiate a slightly lower price and they run a good charter with decent equipment. You can Google them and get their contact information.

If you are OK with going on a super Panga 23 ft boat with a great Captain , let me know and I will get you Victors number. He is a great fisherman and a lot of fun but the boat is small and for no more than 2 people and him. I think he gets 40 an hour but dont quote me. He can put you on tuna marlin and in shore fishing. Great guy and fisherman.

Either way you will be responsible for your fishing licence and live bait purchase. the striped Marlin bite is the big thing that time of year but the run to the Golden gate seamount is around 28 miles and wouldnt be fun in the panga in rough weather.

Let me know if you need more information. You might want to try both.

Richard

Picante is good but not in his price range. They run Cabos at around 800 plus a day.

They also have smaller boats in their fleet for less money too. Nice pangas!

Good Luck

Joe he can get a 31 t twin diesel bertam for the same price-would you fish a 24 ft single engine Shamrock over that? Ive fished there alot and I wouldnt, especially that time of year.

I just stick with what i know Richard. I have fished on the shamrock and numerous 40's there. We go twice a yr. Yes if he can get that bigger boat for the same price I would go with that. Just wanted to give him another option.

Either way he will have a good time! Heading there for the los cabos and bisbee's soon! Can't wait!

victors number is 011 52 044 624 1212096

The weather in Dec tends to be a little windier and rougher than in the summer and fall but it can be dead calm too. Bring your foul weather gear and stay dry.

There are some serious anglers there Joe. You will need to be on top of your game.
Bad Company in particular seems to have it down, they are always in the money.

The captains change but they are usually fine. Just tell them that you want the 31 Bertam Baja Raiders and ask if they will give a discount for several days of fishing. Its slow then and you should be able to get some love.
