Aboard the Nauti Girl

These guys made up most of the stomach contents and the fish was spitting them out on the deck. I'm sure many people are already doing it, but a ribbonfish is probably a good bait.

At my dock a couple days later. Probably had 30 tarpon around the light at one point feeding on little sardines.

That was Eric. Although if he had gone in at a steeper angle, he wouldn't have had to brain the green fish on the deck.

Thumbs up

Great pics Patrick, beats hooking a thresher in the ass

Hope the new gig up north is treating you well; hopefully the g'frnd is keeping you warm at night.

Have been doing some damage on the hoos, muttons and a few grouper the past few weeks and managed a mess of big queens a few weeks ago on the other side, but haven't been broadbilling in a while. Maybe Monday if the weather holds...

What the hell was that fish in the big girl's belly?

Frank

Some kind of lancet fish I'm sure. The belly was full of them and only a few squids.

Love the shot of the fish getting pulled over the side.

I should get props from Stalker outfitters for my shirt. LOL

Sweet pics. LOVE the gaff shot. What kind of gaff is it?

A really big and heavy one that Mark bent on a mako the night before. The gaff could have been placed a couple inches higher to go into the gill plate (my bad), but when things are chaotic you just want to make sure it is in there solid. The thud of that fish hitting the boat was a nice sound. Can't wait for the 400 lber.
