Default HELP Swordfishing of off Jupiter

I was hoping that I could get some advice . I have hust moved my boat from Broward up to Jupiter. I am going to be going out this Friday swordfisg for the first time in this area. I plan on going 10 miles past the west palm beach inlet and drifting back to Jupiter. After looking charts the bottom off jupiter really does not have any canyons or ridges. My question is how is the swordfishing off of Jupiter or west palm. I plan on the Vspot, palm beach canyon, palm beach hump and beerman. Most of these Canyons are in 1400-1500 feet. I was told by some local captains to stay in 1200 to 1350.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :?:

Captain Kevin Kates of www.catch-fish.com catches them pretty good up your way.

I would suggest giving him a call and getting out there with him. It will save you tons of trial and error.

Get some buddies from work or whatever to chip in and go have some fun, while learning to do it yourself.

I know a couple of other guys that don't have problems getting bites up that way either. They are migratory fish for sure!

Keep us posted.

Let me know how you do. I fish out of Jupiter Inlet also, but have yet to move out for the swords. Hope to later this month.

Rabalo, you're planning on hitting the right spots. I've fished a couple of times off Palm Beach and there are definitely fish out there. Your best bet is to hook up with someone that knows the area.
