Default I finally got him 8/17

Well after trying countless times well 21 to be exact on my boat and on friends boats in the cayman islands we decided to come up to florida and charter a friend ( Mr.Steve huddleson) that we met in cayman islands during the swordfish tournament in 07 and 08.

So we flew up on friday and rented a car from hertz and since they did not have what we wanted we had to settle with a corvette lol.

We got up the next morning nice and early around 11 am and went to the different fishing stores and stocked up on gear since we dont have much here in cayman and what we do have is expensiveeee we then met Mr. Steve at the dusky place around 3 went to his place to load up and see his sweet new home theater system. Picked up some fried chicken and then left the dock around 4 i think i dont no really did not have my watch.

We ran for a hour or so did a day time drop and did not get any bites. We then set up for the night and started eating and waiting for what we flew all the way up there to catch. we checked baits the first time and had nothing so Mr steve move out deeper and we waited and waited and checked baits again and 3 out of the 4 baits had been slashed so we were excited and quickly got baits back out and not long after one of the rods go screamingggg like crazy around 2 am and even tho me and my friend Stephen have been told and practices and dreamed about jumping on the rod we froze but Mr Steve jumped right on it and kept him tight while we clean lines i then got to jump on the rod for the rest of the fight and after a short 15 to 20 minute fight had him next to the boat i have never been so happy to see a bill on a fish in my life since it did not fight hard i was scared it was a shark. Mr. Steve quickly gaffed him and had him pinned against the side the mate then came and they pulled him in. High fives every where and millions of pictures. lock and loaded every thing down and headed in to port everglades. Took some more pictures at the dock and Mr. Steve cleaned him up very fast while stephen took for ever to go get some plastic bags from a shop down the road good thing he was in a vet are we would still be waiting lol. Well Thank you Mr. Steve and sam his very hard working mate for finally getting me my first swordfish and thanks stephen for letting me fight him! lol well heres a few pics back at the dock and there will be more to come

oh yeah the fish was 66 inches long and 36 inches girth
