Heard of a few decent fish. We picked up a little dolphin on the way out, and had very slow swordfishing. Had one sword slash a bait and tangle in the leader for a minute and perhaps one other slashed bait. A few baits got ruined by little sharks - we got one to the boat about 35 lbs. Not the way I wanted my first trip back to go, but at least I didn't skunked. It was a late night for us as we called it around 3 am. I have a couple cool pictures of the shark before release that I'll post soon.

We got some nice dolphin on the way out. Found some nice patches that were holding them pretty thick.

Got setup for swordfishing just as it got dark and had our first fish on at 11:00 on a live goggle down 100ft in the lgiht of the hydroglow. Never got a good hook set and pulled the hooks

We stayed out until 12:00 and called it a night. Not sure if the bite turned on with the moon? We pulled up our lines and our squids were slashed. Slowest night for me in a long time.

Good Luck to those heading out tonight.

Mike

I only got out once this weekend. We left out of Boca and fished N of the port. Went 2 for 3. The first was a short run on a dead tinker and I don't think the fish was ever hooked. He wrecked the tinker and I think just spit it. The next up was the outside jug @ 200ft, solidly hooked thanks to one of my double hooked squid wonder rigs. Got him to the boat and he was only 49". Let him go to die on a beeper buoy another night...we think not.

No more action for over an hour so we move in and reset our drift. After about 45 minutes the middle jug gets nailed. This fish was a steamer. He did some fast traveling resulting in me having to cut 2 of the lines to clear and avoid a lost fish. We boated him in about 45 minutes. There is a story on the landing of this one but I don't want to hear any super safety tips from internet arm chair captains so I'll just say the fish died and we didn't
This fish was 52". Nothing to complain about but we thought it was much bigger from the fight.

We had a wire Mako rig on an 80W (as always) blood chummed (2 blocks) and bled both fish into the water but no Mako :?: Ever since I have had a Mako set up ready I have not seen one. Before I would see them around the boat now and then??? Anyway it was a great night out on the water and it seems like the bite is turning on again. Just in time for the Darkside Tourney.

How could you guys be so careless in catching one that big in under a minute thats dangerous and you might get hurt if you aren't careful. Good job guys, put the heat to them and then put the steel in them.

You are stupid posting a story like that on here. What if a greenie reads that and tries it and then like dies or something... 01456

I heard about that fish Ken. Badazz landing!! =D> I'd like to see him have done that with the one you hooked the night that tail walkin', stick of dynamite that took you three trips around the boat in the first ten minutes of being hooked. I still have not seen one that jacked up. Too bad you lost him in the Hydro Glow. I just got done making mine snag proof. I permanently attached the weight in PVC that blends with the light and filled in the seams around the tube to pvc connections. It came out great. I'll post the pics after Hydro Glow breaks out their checkbook Oh, I forgot you use a Swindro Glow... I can't afford one of those. 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456 01456
