Here you go:
Bull went 45.55 and won first place in the ladies tournament out of the upper keys, Cow went 29.05 and took home 5th. Wahoo went 42. Both the bull and the wahoo were caught by my gf (in the red) on a Shimano Stella spinning outfit with 20lb. The cow was caught by the girl on the right on a shimano 30. Cow ate a sea witch/hoo combo, bull was sight casted with a naked hoo, wahoo ate an unknown skirt/hoo combo.

The PAIR of dolphin in 2Fast's pic are just too hard to beat. Contest over. Not even a 70-pound deck destroyer will top it unless caught by a similar crew.

I was going to post some recent pics but decided against it.

I wouldn't say contest over yet ! I've only seen 1 person so far follow the rules. and its not about a 70lb deck destroyer, its a picture contest.

Blue Boat 6-26-08

It was an awsome day today with my daughter, We were south of Port Everglades in 750', We used ballyhoo and lures, A green and yellow lure that I make was on fire. The lenghth of the bull was 491/2" and the girth was 23"
ended up with 5 dolphin and a bonito. It was horrible solid 6' when We first went out, then it calmed down later on.

Cap Ken...just having some fun.

Your daughter's catches and pics are commendable.

I can't dictate course of contest anyway.

Hope to get my little princess out there on nice fish soon. She's 7.

Tight lines!!

Heres the same pic, a pic from weigh-in, and the rest of the page of the weekly fisherman it was featured in on 6/26/08.

Heres the full report I posted on 6/22...

Entered my girlfriend in her first tournament yesterday and it was a great time. We left the dock on a friends 32' prowler at 6 for lines in by 7. Got past the reef and were greeted with slick calm seas.Ran away from massive amounts of small schoolies all day long and found a small group of nice fish around 9. Got a couple 20# pounders sight casting to put some fish in the box. Saw a nicer fish around 30# around 11 but couldnt get him to eat a fresh hoo or a squid . As the day progressed the fish all went deep and it was barren out there. Put out 4 rigged baits and dragged em out in the blue. About 1230 the big stella let out the best sounding scream Ive ever heard . The fish was lit up so bright and moved so fast on the surface he looked like a sliver and blue streak in the water. My girlfriend fought him perfectly and I was pleased to sink the gaff into a 42# wahoo . Not 15 minutes after re-setting the spread one of the 30s goes off. Another girl was on the rod and it was a big cow. After clearing the lines I put a naked hoo out back in the rigger hoping for the bull to be nearby. Not 2 minutes later was sreaming that he was on the hoo. My girlfriend grabs the rod and wound tight, the fish lost the bait for a second but he was hot on it. His head was completely out of the water right behind the bait, his mouth wide open. My gf dropped back the bait and it disappeared into the bulls mouth. She gave him time and came tight on the fish and the fight was on. After an awesome fight with loads of jumps the fish came to the gaff . Not being the best at guestimating weights I figured he was 40# or so. We knew we had a shot so we picked up and headed in. Weigh in was 5pm and we got there at 420. I ran in to see the board and the top fish was 39.5#. I had a feeling we could beat it, but not being good with weights, I was nervous. She brought the fish in and we were pleased to see the scale at 45.5#! After a half hour of sweating it was said and done and my girl took home the prize. 2500$ a beautiful painting/trophy, an awesome gold dolphin pendant and the coveted white jacket. I couldnt be happier for her and it was a great feeling so see her get that fish. Our cow went 30# and change and took home 5th as well. Ive got some great pics to post as soon as I get the card from my girlfriends camera.

On a side note, Im going to get the fish mounted for her and would like to know what you guys think the best place would be. I browsed the net this morning and saw the one from king sailfish. The colors were great and the fish looked just like the mount they advertise with all the neon blue spots. Check back tonight I should have the pics up.
