Default Tuesday's Report

Left LHP at 8 and trolled out to the SE on the NW wind and never saw a sign of a Mahi. At 1800 feet off PE we made our frist drop and by 5:30 had made 12 drops without a bite. The last drop was in 1650 feet about a mile N of LHP and we hooked up as soon as we hit the bottom. We got home at dark with a 261 pounder (measured) and felt quite lucky to have gotten a fish as it has been very slow lately. Maybe things are going to start to pick up as the weather gets better and more of us are out there.

Nice! I miss the slap of fish flesh on the deck!

Default We'll be expecting you before 7.

Harry, you just set yourself up for a story at the Swordfish Club meeting next Wednesday. You can't be boating 200# plus swordfish, daytime no less, when the professionals are only getting Oilfish, and not be expected to tell a story or two.

We'll be expecting you before 7.

P.S. If I can't curl a fish by the tail with one hand, I know it is over 200 and if I can't lift it with both arms, I know it is over 400. How did you measure your 261 fish?

Alternative method: count the number of loins that get stacked in the freezer and multiple by the crew members (x crew), x3 x 1.7.
