Default Any advice on fishing east side of stream

We are going swording tonight and I have an itch to fish deeper than usual. Anybody have thoughts on the area 30 - 40 miles out on the north end?

I've never fished there for swords but I would look at those charts and graphs the good Professor kindly provides and look for the east edge and fish outside of it. The Stream seems to be ripping nowadays and one of my theories of why the fishing out front in the tri-county area has been so poor is the cost/benefit of energy expended by staying in the nursery area vs. the availability of food (also zipping by to the north) isn't in the fish's favor (you'll remember that residential fish are typically long and lean - it's the constant exercise - so that tells us the average Gulf Stream speed is a real workout on these fish, if it was faster than normal, they may not be able to do it). At least as of the last sword club meeting in which it was discussed, the boats fishing east of the stream were doing well while the experimental boat fishing the east side of the gulf stream wasn't doing nearly as well. Maybe if you can find an area of less current, you might be able to find a group of fish stacked up in there.
