Default Fin-Nor Santiago Reels?

I know there's a thread and poll on sword reels, but I am not sure I see Fin-Nors in the mix.

I was at River Marine yesterday and picked up a second Penn Int. 70VS on a bent butt rod, this time for daytiming. Loaded it with 1,500 yards of 100 lb. braid and 200 yards of 80 lb. mono undershot, and 100 yards of 100 lb. mono top shot. Can't wait to use it. Do yourselves a favor and go see Oscar or Camilo at River Marine. These dudes have the best prices around and a great selection right off 95 and SW 8th Street. I have been going to em for years.

Now back to my point. When I got home last night, I was looking at the new issue of Sport Fishing and saw an ad for the new line of Fin-Nor Santiago big game two-speed reels. I believe they have a 30, 50, and 80. They look stunning. Has anyone used them? I may have to go back and get one of em too.

Thanks for the feedback.

Maybe I will suggest the 50W for father's Day.

Default Fin-Nor trolling reels

Saw the post and thought I would jump in. I am the former CEO of a certain reel company in Philadelphia and now the VP of Product Development and Manufacturing for Fin-Nor. I am really excited about these new reels and after building reels for many years think that this is like no other in design, material selection, and attention to detail. There are details about the reels at Fin-Nor. . .World-Class Big Game Tackle

Default How many rods are enough?

My wife would not be a happy camper if I kept buying rods and reels. The slower the fishing, the more rods I buy. Something is wrong with this technique.
