Oye:
Just as an FYI for those that are not on the membership e-mail list. The SESC is having another ~monthly meeting this Wednesday. This is an opportunity to learn more about the current situation with respect to the ""pending "" longlining activities that may take place. Here are the posted details.
Calendar for our next club Meeting: Wednesday May 4, 2005 at 7 pm,
at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club (LHPYC).
Ellen Peel, President of The Billfish Foundation, will be the Speaker. She should be able to give us an update on the “Longlining in the restricted areas” issue. She will also be able to educate us on how NOAA/NMFS works and answer your question about the future of the Beeper buoys and other hot topics.
We are open to new members! Guests will be subject to a one time visit and a charge of $20. After that, they will have to join the club to attend any more meetings! Upon arrival, you will need to check in at our registration desk. If you bring a guest, you must have them register at the desk!
We will be having a special auction at this meeting!
That's the post.
As usual, this should be a very informative meeting. Come out and enjoy this week: maybe you get lucky with the ""special"" raffle and win a ""beauty"
accurate reel, mon.
Saludos, RT
