Default Swording out of port aransas

hey guys, im going out on one of those long range boats-about 200 miles-for tuna and was wondering if during the night, it would be worth trying to drop something a couple thousand feet down. We are gonna be working around a big offshore floater oil rig. Any thoughts or suggestions would be incredibly helpful.

thanks so much

Some guys that came down for Texas to fish with Swordlight Jim were telling us they get 12-15 shots a night..... I'd go for it!!!!

I wouldn't drop a couple of thousand feet. I would fish a bait from 100-300 feet.
