Default Where are you buying your Duralume Light Sticks?

I am running low on Duralume light sticks. Called LP, and they are not importing them anymore. I typically buy 500 count and split it with two other people. Where are you guys buying them?

It was a sad day when LP stopped the Duralumes. We have been using another light stick with a similar price. Bulk qty available so send me and email...

Try illuminationz.com
They are a commercial distributor but will sell in small lots at a very good price. I deal with them regularly and although their product is not the "brightest" I've seen you can get 2 for the price of anyone elses one so I figure they are a bargain. I think I paid under 50 cents when I bought my last lot. I hope the info was helpful.

We'll have to start using candles soon. That's how they used to fish for them in Cuba. When the light of the candle dissapeared, you had a fish on. Wonder if the bite is still on around the Cienfuegos area? There is 2000 ft. of water about 2 miles straight out of the Cienfuegos Bay.

I remember as a kid seeing them off miami, We were told they were called smudge pots, so smudge pots is what we called them, although I never saw one up close, I was told by an old time longliner they sorta resembled a tiki torch of today like you put around your pool for a party, they would burn kerosene or oil and they would glow orange in the distance, They were actually the first buoy fisherman, and also so the legend goes, the story of the old man and the sea in the little row boat with the marlin,was actually a swordfish on a handline that was fished from a smudge pot, imagine that,the first buoy boat.{disclaimer: just a story passed along from an old X longliner many moons ago,before GPS,when a capt came home from the 40 line with a compass in the middle of a rainstorm.lol }
