All flyers are about the same.See if you can get a used one some were to save cash.But if not the top shots and aftcos would be my choice.

Don't get the one with the barb to the outside of the gap.
It will tear/scratch everything up. I don't remember the brand name.

You need to get the one that doesn't release, and then proceeds to beat the hell out out of you as you are getting dragged down the gunnel.
![]() Just kidding. I like the aftco. 6 inch will work the 8 is nice if you get a good one. I would get the 8 inch and if you think it is to big for the fish use the straight gaff.

the best flyer hands down is built by tom's gaffs can get local from the builder in Davie his numbers in the phone book. You can see them at Lmr or Tommy green's or most high end tackel shops. He will build to suit.
