Braid's "Brute Buster" belt and harness are a good combo for a decent price.

O.T.R (ocean tackle research) Little pricey but absolutely worth it - check Melton.

Murry Bros fighting chair!!

But really it comes down to trying them out and seeing what one fits your body and style the best. They all work kind of like sneakers. They will all go on you but which one do you want to run a marathon in.

I second that, I put my gloves, harpoon ropes, extra glowsticks, whatever doesnt fit in my other bags in the BLACK MAGIC bag. Great Product, just make sure you set it up before the fish strikes, if not it could be a little crazy trying to setup and gettting the right size.

AFTCO the heavy duty pad and harness combo work great! I think the price is very reasonable compared to the others already mentioned.

BTW all of them are great.

I hate my Braid Brute Buster. The harness is ok, but the belt is terrible. It is really small and it cuts into your legs just above your knees. I also isn't very wide so you don't have as good of footing and it can wobble a lot. Several others who use it say the same too.

The Alutecnos is my favorite and I'm hoping to get the belt for Christmas. The padding on it is so nice and the harness is sick as well

My opinion, it depends on what you are using the harness for. For most everything less than a monster Tuna or Marlin, Id go with the Black Magic. Its lighter and much more comfortable and goes on easy. You could wear it if you were in fish and waiting for a bite. And the fighting belt is very stable and holds a rod very well. For a long fight (> 2 hrs) with heavy (> 35 lb) drag settings, the fighting belt padding could be a little thin-Ive had waffle pad marks in my thighs after a fight like that. Ive used a Braid belt and harness but IMO they are heavy and not as comfortable, although the bucket harness allows you to sit back and put a ton of pressure on fish. Its more complicated to put on and you wouldnt want it on while you were waiting for a bite. Ive used a Smithy belt-It has more thigh padding but the rod didnt sit as well in it at heavy drag when the fish ran back and forth from side to side. You can get anything you want on the internet-Just Google the product and you will get vendors and prices. Or try Captain Harrys or Meltons.

Love the alutecnos, waayyyy more comfy than the black majic to all on my boat who have harnessed up with both.

Friend of mine broke the brute buster knee plate after 3hrs on a fish...
