my dad bought a new boat...its a 38' henriques. He wants five underwater lights. One on portside, one on starboard side and three behind the stern. Sound good? Which is best light for swordfish and tuna? we fish at the hudson canyon.
White? Blue? Green? |

That would look so sick! I saw a huge sporty come in last night with blue l.e.d. lights out the back, looks so awesome!

I've heard that single colors, like blue or green, spook fish less. White light includes the entire spectrum, and bothers gamefish when near the boat. Or at least, that's the theory.

SF,
Once you decide the colors. Try these guys, they are very reputable and have dealers all over the place. (57 in Fl) I ran across them when searching for LEDS to replace courtesy lights along the deck of my boat. Hope this helps. Don Underwater Lights by OceanLED, LED underwater lighting for boats Or you can look at their ad at the top of the page. What a dumb A$$ I did not realize they advertise on SFC..Anyway cool video library...Check it out. Last edited by Reel Bonus; 12-10-2007 at 09:28 PM.. |

Just hauled my 48 viking and installed two super whites 3010 in the transom and one blue on the bottom. will use only the blue when swording and the whites while at the dock or bottom fishing at night they are almost as bright as the halogens but dont get hot and require a much smaller hole. Hopfully the weather will give me a chance to try them out this weekend
