New World Record Swordfish

I am sure if this was a real fish it would be the new all tackle world record. But for now we will leave it up to Gray Taxidermy and Carey Chen to keep us dreaming about screaming reels on the 50 line.

That man is such a talented artist.

Note to parents: read Carey Chen's life journey, (I think he may tell a short story at his website), and you may discover his exposure to underwater reef life as a child. Show them Carey Chen's masterpieces of artwork and take them snorkelling at the reefs: you could awaken the artistic side of your children, if they are so inclined, in a similar awe inspiring way.

I am floored everytime I see one of his works. Try to find an empty place on the canvas that does not have some realistic detail of the scene that he is capturing. I cannot speak for giant wall murals such as the Gray's wall above, but typically the scenes would be packed with underwater life forms, everywhere that you look.

P.S. - If you don't already get it by now, Carey Chen does the cover art for every publication of Florida Sportfishing Magazine, to the best of my recollection. And inside the magazine there is a detachable 8x10 print of the cover page, just in case you would like an inexpensive collection of some of his magazine related pieces of work. Of course you could always purchase better art, if you are so financially inclined.
