Default Any word on the Miami Tournament?

Hope everyone made it back safe last night.... it looked big out there! Any word on what was caught and who won?
I know the Miss Britt weighed a 215 friday night, but that was the only fish weighed. There were also a few boats tied for 4th with one release.

Last night we made it out to the gulf stream and there were 6-8 foot +++ seas with some over 10 so we bagged it and that was early before the wind kicked up even more we were back in the inlet b4 8:30.

We caught 1 fish the first night, on the second night we were back at the dock way way way early after a boat full of sick people. It was definetly nasty out there. Herd a few fish were caught. Bouncer may have won.

Fished till lines out and released one of the 8 caught last night to go along with one from night 1. Randy Towe won the tournament with 5 releases.

Which boat was Randy in? My Sea Cin? Timely Sails w/ Bouncer?

I fished it on the Playing A.G.E. Nothing for us on night one. After seeing NOAA/Bouyweather, the +20 mph winds and not being on the board, with a 29' express, my crew and I thought it would be safer for us to stay in. THANK GOODNESS, because from what I heard from THE BET and the other brave few remaining who went out, IS WAS ALL OF 6 to 8 SOLID with 10 plus waves and an occasional 12 footer slamming the side of the boat. Not fun.

Anyhow, does anyone know the overall and the leg winner(s)? Who got 2nd and 3rd.

By the way, there were alot fewer boats this year than in the past. Weird. Only 30 total and if I am not mistaken, with only 24 fish caught in two nights and one boated. Interestingly enough, the first night had 17 fish, with a handful (five or so) of boats that had two releases. So in essence, around 30% of the boats hooked up a fish. Nice and SLLLOOOOWWWWW for the other 70% of us. Oh well .

Atleast I am not the only one that sucks swording right now . LOL.

Congrats to the winners!

Wish we would have made it longer. We barely got the baits wet.

I was on the Bipolar, 33 contender and we only had one release the first night. The second night was a fun rollercoaster and we landed a 7lb blackfin on the 300' rod. We fished all night with just 2 slashed baits. We only did one reset, it took us 45minutes to run with the waves, i didnt want to stuff it out there.

My Sea Cin won with 5 Releases, they also won the Series with 800 points,
Miss Britt won 2nd with 314 points
Timley Sails 3rd 300 points

Biggest Fish was 214lbs Miss Britt and also the Largest Fish in the Series.

Congrats to all the winners and for everyone making it back.

Luis,
I was on my Fountain. But the team name was My Martica.

Nelson,

300ft blackfin huh? Never done that one before. Did catch an oil fish and a lancer fish at 800ft

It was fun out there that was for sure. It took us 40 minutes to run in from 18 miles out. Definetly a roller coaster.
