Yeah I saw his bait cooler looked like we was sailfishing in CR with all those baits rigged. The whole show looked very professional and informative without being boring. But your comments made the show.I hope I get to fish with you some day.You look like you have a lot of fun out there.

I would argue that one.It is hard to wire fish from the bridge. I think TD and Myself would be equal to him but only because we were always on deck
Since we all like the facts straight, I worked on a US PLL from 1978 until about 1994. All US PLL Captains operate the ship from the hauling station ON DECK. Thats 16 years of pulling snaps off the line and wiring ALL the fish, including winding buoys, cleaning and packing fish as needed. In 1994 I went to Brazil, there Captains have a less physical involvment in the hauling of the gear, unless they choose to go on deck. (not me)

I will go out on a limb to say that QQ worked full time on a PLL for a season or 2 at best (TD I'm not so sure about), but since he has decided to share his opinion, I may as well throw in my 2 cents.

I would be willing to bet the farm that I have wired many times the amount of fish that this forum has and a 100 to 1 the amount that QQ has.

I am not bragging, all that labor would have been better served on a land based profession that would have allowed me to know my children better. It's a sad statistic for both my family and the fish.

ok maybe 75 to 1 Vin were you running one of the Trip M boats back then?I remember helping ice those boats up at Pell's dock in Montauk.I would get to drag the blow hose to the back of the far bins.

QQ,

Before I moved onto boats large enough to fish the Grand Banks (pre 1986), we worked Georges in the summer. Many of our fleet worked out on Montauk, but I prefered Ocean City, MD and Jones Beach. Did you know Bruce from Jones Packing?

Never liked fishing the Canyons much from Hatteras to Browns Bank. Too much traffic and the pots seem to have magnets on them when LL gear was around.

I let you slide with 75 to 1

At least with the lobster boats around you could trade some fish for some lobster or prerolled. Do you remember John on the Rainbow chaser.
