If the Commercial PLL market is a non-expanding market and even downsizing due to global fishing regulations, etc., I see no reason why not, a company should diversely market professional grade products to the Recreational "Industry". Obviously, no Rec. fisherman is going to need a 20 mile spool, but there is plenty of tackle items that can be sold into the recreational market. As a matter of fact, that is a very wise choice. So hopefully, nobody else will object if selective tackle shops, happen to have for sale, LL clips, buckets of bait dye, cases of cyalumes, and select fishing paraphenalia/tackle, some of which have been previously used primarily by Long liners. I like Professional grade stuff. |

This sounds great. I was thinking of hosting a dytime tournement down the road (although I have yet to hit the brightside), it just looks and sounds too cool. Good luck guys on the first day time swordfish tournament. I was hoping to pop my cherry Labor Day weekend and again this past weekend, but was unable to get out on the water to do so. If I get a chance to this weekend, I may be up for the tourney. Either way, great going and good luck with the event. Hopefully you get a nice turnout like I had for my first event earlier this year (45 boats), but don't have the stress of the 1st & 2nd place fish weighing the exact same! I guess it's less likely with a 2 fish aggregate, and you probably won't have the expense and contoversy of a polygraph in the first event. The format looks great. Kudos to you guys for stepping up to the plate with a tournament like this.

I think the organizers of this tourney should have a designated weigh station somewhere around the Miami Dade area. It could be a good way to have more people from the Miami area participate in the tourney.

That's it Bill, Bobby, Matt, Cheech, and all the rest of you Broward Sword maniacs. Your event wouldn't be right if Palm Beach wasn't in the house. Let's see whose got game on the 22nd.

Hey Matt, Long time. I hear good things are happening on the Regulator!
If we run into you and Cheech during this tournament I think we'll be at the right spot. Later, Mike |

Any word on a weigh-in location in Miami-Dade? Maybe the Miami Outboard Club? I believe they might have a scale. I know a few people at MOC that might be able to make it available if you guys are interested. If so send me a PM.
