The website for the Inaugural Fort Lauderderdale Swordfish Tournament, scheduled for April 27th, 28th & 29th, is now up and running. Please visit:
'www.lauderdaleswordfish.com' A special thanks goes out to R.J. Boyle for his assistance with the artwork, as well as all of our other sponsors. For anyone who has not gotten a chance to go by his studio in Deerfield Beach, do yourself a favor and go check out his awesome artwork. He is truly talented, and one very friendly guy. Please be sure to check out the Prize structure and related Rules, as this tournament has a few wrinkles added to it that we feel make it unique. It has something to offer everyone, with over 13 cash prize categories plus 7 Calcuttas to fit every budget and every swordfisherman. There is going to be a very lively Kick-Off Party at Banyan Bay Marine Center in Dania Beach with a live island band from the Bahamas and plenty of food and drinks for all, plus a continuous raffle running throughout the party. We hope to see you and your entire crew there. Also, we are very proud to be the 1st Leg of the Swordfish Series. Further details on this tournament trail are due out shortly, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding the tournament or the Swordfish Series, please feel free to contact me at info@lauderdaleswordfish.com Last edited by GET BENT; 03-09-2007 at 02:42 PM.. |

We would like to welcome some more sponsors on board: Lindgren-Pitman SeaMaster Lights Yachtlights.com The Grape on Las Olas The first 3 may sound familiar to you, abut the last may not. A fellow angler and his family are the proprietors of this beautiful wining and dining establishment on Las Olas Blvd next to the famous Riverside Hotel, and we are very proud to announce that we will be hosting our awards ceremony and sponsors banquet on Sunday, April 29th at their restaurant. We would like to thank all of our sponsors as well as all of you have shown interest in our inaugural event and visited the website, sent e-mails, IM's, etc. In the very near future we will be adding the registration form to the website, as well as printing posters and tournament brochures that will be distributed to all the local tackle stores, marinas, etc. So keep an eye out for them so that you can take advantage of the early registration discount.
