Hey Drew... how'd you get on the Rough C's team?
It was a sloppy night. Team EmiJess... we did 3 for 8 on swords. (4/10 if you add the released hammerhead and pulling the hook on a dancing sailfish. ) Killed a 49" early to shake off the skunk, then released 2 more sub-50"ers during the night. Had 2 sets of double-headers: 1st resulted in a release and a cut-off, and the 2nd was a release and a 10+ft hammerhead. The rest were pulled hooks on small fish... one might have been in the mid/low 100's, but we never got a look.Congrats Rough C's! ...and the other money teams too.

No swordies for us,We pulled a good one at the boat, But we did however score a nice mako. He jumped 20' in the air like a bullet right over the cockpit from one side to the other. 5' more feet back and he would have hit the tower or got tangled in the outriggers and landed in the boat!

It was pretty much quiet all night for us, we were 1-4 total with one release. Our satisfaction came the going home Sun morn about 6 am getting hooked up on a 44lb smoker. That was nice. Great tourny and congrats to the winners...

NO the fish wasn't makoed he came in the boat after a 20minute fight and was still pretty green. but only having nick c and bill collector ahead and 55 was closest to us we took him quick. the fish hit the deck and went absolutely freakin crazy! as you can tell we dropped him n both gaffs and waited for him to stop before resetting. we were 2/2 pretty decent night 59" 62"! had a good time!

We were tight for the first few hours then dead no action for the last few hours. I guess that high speed trolling in the gulfstream just does not work out to good. At times we were clicling 6 MPH. the scope on the rod tips was crazy.

WTG Drew and all Tourney Junkies. Hope I can make the next one. High fives to the winners and congrats to all who got out and got after them. Nothing like a little competition to get the JUICE flowing
