Morning Swordfishing Central Forum, this is Ali.

It has been a very LONG BUT AWESOME weekend! I recorded 105 called in catches and releases!!!

55 Releases =D> and 50 boated fish hb ...that we know about. I expect a lot more were caught and released but possibly not called in or just wasn't able to obtain relays. As for the relays, THANK YOU to all that helped me out with the relays, I really appreciated it. :thumleft:

We had 78 boats and the bite was FANTASTIC. We couldn't have asked for better bites or weather!

Please remember, if you did not obtain a confirmation number, PLEASE REPORT YOUR CATCH!!! The tournament can only report what we recorded from each boat that entered. As we all know, it is vital to report your catch!

We are happy to say we definately have money to purchase 1 PSAT ($4K each) and very close to another one. We still need to work out the final details but I AM VERY HAPPY THAT WE CAN AT LEAST CONTINUE WITH OUR EFFORTS OF TAGGING MORE LOCAL SWORDS!

You guys ROCK!

Pumkineater, the Sail Club / Ali did a great job.
105 fish, 78 boats, never seen so many 80W's in my life.

We had fun, went 3 for 9, (kept 1, released 2 )& look forward to next event.

Curious as to whether there was a time during the tournament Saturday night when the bite was particularly hot for everybody. I fished the Upper Keys, but didn't get out with lines in until VERY late-- close to midnight and had no bites-nada

Just wondering if any of the bites in the tourny were late Saturday nite/ early Sunday am or if most were early in the evening?

It seemed like every five to ten minutes someone was calling in a fish, from lines in until we packed up at three.

Great tournament can not wait until the next one Sail Club did a great job =D>
